A similar strategy to deploy distributors will be followed in other states as and when we expand. There would be 4 stockists in each district and 8 in Patna, Buxar and Nalanda, 3 in Darbhanga and 3 each in the 5 cities so that they can reach out to the maximum retailers in their cities and the neighboring areas. (166 stockists) Attempt to reach above 15,00 retailers in the first year. In India, today there are over 5 million retail outlets dispersed all over the country. Organized retailing, which has been now gaining momentum, includes large super market chains/ shopping malls, department Stores and Food Store. While small chain stores called Apna Bazaars and ASKY MARKET, which offer products at reasonable prices- have been Student popular in the metro and small city. Consumers are willing to pay a premium for convenience shopping. Thus, the relative share of grocers dropped. Printer outletson the other hand, have been expanding their product range to include high margin printer products. Panwallas are also emerging as full-fledged consumer product outlets. With the increasing number of retail outlets, the visibility of the products in the market increases and so does its availability. We would try to make the best of it by tapping these so that we can penetrate further into the market and also increase our sales. Other Methods of Distribution- One of our major methods will be to open our own stores in each of the major cities like Patna, Buxar, Nalanda , Darbhanga, Jamui, Saran, Siwan, Muzaffarpur and Gaya, by the end of three years. At-least two in each of the cities mentioned above. Marketing Strategy for Implementation: Market Segmentation Our market is segmented based on the following parameters: 1) Demographic Segmentation: A) Geographic Segmentation: During the initial stages our market will be limited to the boundaries of Patna,Bokaro and Nalanda(Bihar) and 5 cities across UP. The reasons for choosing only these 2 states are: We are a new company, and therefore, not known nationwide. Different states like Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Haryana have varying tastes. To tap these markets we need to invest in R D and churn out new flavors catering to the needs of these markets. We have also decided that as per our future plans, if we have different plans for different regions of India, Distribution costs, etc. come down, and Economies of Scale increase. The small Market of Bihar and UP, can help us fight smaller regional players, and the unbranded segment. This in turn shall help us; establish ourselves as a known company, with a known Brand. Expanding nation-wide becomes simpler with the Brand Equity that shall be created. 2) Behavioral Segmentation: 1. Benefits: It is for users who want the goodness of good qualitys canner in the printerlong with long life and good quality. The small size shall benefit travelers, e.g. People traveling from home to office, or People who like to have something to munch while they are free. The large packets are lower in price and this makes it better for the entire business people. TARGETING: A scanner is a specific product. Therefore we are targeting the business man, we are not concentrating on any segment, age group or SEC in particular. We are targeting our customers based in Bihar and UP.Based on our expansion plans we will target other states in India. We will also try n tap some of the urban markets of Delhi, Punjab and West Bengal. Majority of consumers who like the Indian technology.. New users The Youth who shall switch to our Products due to our good quality. POSITIONING: PRODUCT TARGET CUSTOMERS BENEFITS VALUE PROPOSITION scanner Indian technology good quality who seek convenience, quality and long life. Long life .good price Good quality, New technology. Monitoring and Evaluation: After the planning phase implementation of the plan is equally important otherwise it will just be a plan and can never be transformed into an action. To implement the plan, it is necessary to capture peoples minds, hearts and spirit. For that that takes planning, diligence, testing, self-correction and collaboration .Implementing means documenting everything that must be done to go from the place that the organization is now to the new practice process or system that is now seen as the future state. Planning and documentation includes not just listing the action steps but also designing the work that can capture the understanding and interest of the implementers After the implementation phase comes the evaluation phase, in this phase the effectiveness of the proposed plan is measured. Evaluation is used to measure the success or failure of a change. To continuously monitor progress it is necessary to follow the well crafted strategy which is clearly understood by all so that they all can work towards fulfilling the desired goal. Tools such as balanced score card can also be used for this purpose or continuous feedback can be taken from the customers to monitor the quality and progress of the product so that if there are any shortcomings they can be identified and removed for overall customer satisfaction because the cost of retaining the existing customer is far less than making a new customer. Conclusion: As this is a a product of its own kind so there is lot of hope that this product will work in the Indian market and capture a larger portion of the Indian market within few years of its launching in the market. Also no such entry barriers are there in this field except some environmental regulations imposed by the government so the entry in the market will not be much difficult. Initial cost of launching the product will be more as huge amount will be required in the research and development for the superior quality, but once product will reach its growth stage it will earn a huge profit for the company. So we can say that this product will be huge success within few years of its launch. Recommendations: Launch this product early to gain the first mover advantage. Maintain the quality standards. Timely feedback from the customer about the quality of the product. Proper supply chain management so that the product reaches the end customers easily. Appropriate promotional strategies.

Essay about Army Standards and Ethical Dilemmas - 1782 Words
Army Standards and Ethical Dilemmas MSG Garrison, John O., 19Z United States Army Sergeants Major Academy Class 62 SGM Kelvin Hinkle December 8, 2011 Unclassified Abstract The inconsistent application of Army standards leads to unethical decisions on a daily basis. Despite an emphasis on Army values at all levels, military leaders open themselves up to make unethical decisions when they donââ¬â¢t adhere to set standards. Despite the Army having clear standards on height/weight, APFT, the tattoo policy, and reporting requirements, leaders often take it upon themselves to ignore the standard or create their own. Leaders have the responsibility to maintain and enforce standards which are driven by regulations. If military leadersâ⬠¦show more contentâ⬠¦The first example that comes to mind is the measuring techniques that are spelled out in AR 600-9 that determine a Soldierââ¬â¢s body fat. I have been in the Army for twenty-one years and have been subject to the tape test my entire career; I can tell you that measurement methods have been inconsistent at best. Sometimes, there are the appropriate numbers of people doing the taping, but o ften times there is just one person doing the taping. Sometimes, the person doing the taping measures the Soldier correctly and other times the person may tape in such a way as to give the Soldier an advantage. As far as the grading of the APFT goes, although FM 21-20 specifies the correct way to do a push-up or sit-up, the actual scoring for these events are wildly inconsistent from grader to grader. Sometimes these inconsistencies hurt a Soldiers score, but often these inconsistencies give an unfair advantage to a Soldier over his or her peers. The inconsistencies in grading the APFT and measuring a Soldierââ¬â¢s body fat are magnified by those leaders who donââ¬â¢t even bother and just ââ¬Å"pencil whipâ⬠the results of both. Lgbt Discrimination And The Lgbt Community Essay Example For Students
Lgbt Discrimination And The Lgbt Community Essay Transgender Discrimination in America Living in America, discrimination is something that has always been present in the American culture. Discrimination can come in many forms, and effects many associated with it. Although many communities have been discriminated against, the LGBT community is one who has experienced some of the harshest hatred in America. Amongst the LGBT community, members who are transgendered often get the most back lash for expressing their sexuality. Discrimination is something the transgendered community knows all too well. Many people seem to have problems with the fact that most members of the Transgender community perform either the sexual reassignment surgery to turn them into the opposite gender, or they get facial feminization surgeries and take hormones to increase their chances of being as close to the opposite sex as they can. Discrimination towards this community has increased due to our increase use of social media, and recent celebrities ââ¬Å"Coming Outâ⬠as transgender. The use of social media discrimination towards the transgender community makes it easier to become victim to insecurities for simply being who they are. Interpretations Of Heart Of Darkness Essays - Joseph Conrad
Interpretations of Heart of Darkness Interpretations of Heart of Darkness In Joseph Conrad's Heart of Darkness, there is a great interpretation of the feelings of the characters and uncertainties of the Congo. Although Africa, nor the Congo are ever really referred to, the Thames river is mentioned as support. This intricate story reveals much symbolism due to Conrad's theme based on the lies and good and evil, which interact together in every man. Today, of course, the situation has changed. Most literate people know that by probing into the heart of the jungle Conrad was trying to convey an impression about the heart of man, and his tale is universally read as one of the first symbolic masterpieces of English prose (Graver,28). In any event, this story recognizes primarily on Marlow, its narrator, not about Kurtz or the brutality of Belgian officials. Conrad wrote a brief statement of how he felt the reader should interpret this work: "My task which I am trying to achieve is, by the power of the written word, to make you hear, to make you feel-it is above all, to make you see.(Conrad 1897) Knowing that Conrad was a novelist who lived in his work, writing about the experiences were as if he were writing about himself. "Every novel contains an element of autobiography-and this can hardly be denied, since the creator can only explain himself in his creations."(Kimbrough,158) The story is written as seen through Marlow's eyes. Marlow is a follower of the sea. His voyage up the Congo is his first experience in freshwater navigation. He is used as a tool, so to speak, in order for Conrad to enter the story and tell it out of his own philosophical mind. He longs to see Kurtz, in the hope's of appreciating all that Kurtz finds endearing in the African jungle. Marlow does not get the opportunity to see Kurtz until he is so disease-stricken he looks more like death than a person. There are no good looks or health. In the story Marlow remarks that Kurtz resembles "an animated image of death carved out of o ld ivory." Like Marlow, Kurtz is seen as an honorable man to many admirers; but he is also a thief, murderer, raider, persecutor, and above all he allows himself to be worshipped as a god. Both men had good intentions to seek, yet Kurtz seemed a "universally genius" lacking basic integrity or a sense of responsibility (Roberts,43). In the end they form one symbolic unity. Marlow and Kurtz are the light and dark selves of a single person. Meaning each one is what the other might have been. Every person Marlow meets on his venture contributes something to the plot as well as the overall symbolism of the story. Kurtz is the violent devil Marlow describes at the story's beginning. It was his ability to control men through fear and adoration that led Marlow to signify this. Throughout the story Conrad builds an unhealthy darkness that never allows the reader to forget the focus of the story. At every turn he sees evil lurking within the land. Every image reflects a dreary, blank one. Th e deadly Congo snakes to link itself with the sea and all other rivers of darkness and light, with the tributaries and source of man's being on earth (Dean,189). The setting of these adventurous and moral quests is the great jungle, in which most of the story takes place. As a symbol the forest encloses all, and in the heart of the African journey Marlow enters the dark cavern of his won heart. It even becomes an image of a vast catacomb of evil, in which Kurtz dies, but from which Marlow emerges spiritually reborn. The manager, in charge of three stations in the jungle, feels Kurtz poses a threat to his own position. Marlow sees how the manager is deliberately trying to delay any help or supplies to Kurtz. He hopes he will die of neglect. This is where the inciting moment of the story lies. Should the company in Belgium find out the truth a bout Kurtz's success in an ivory procurer, they would undoubtedly elevate him to the position of manager. The manager's
